The Nibble - Great Food Finds, an online magazine about specialty foods, is one of my favorite websites. They offer reviews of specialty foods and beverages; ideas for entertaining; tips and how-to’s; recipes, and much more. Below is a sample of March Food Holidays with my very own celebratory ideas.
American Chocolate Week is the third week in March.
To celebrate, tour a chocolate factory or treat yourself to a piece of chocolate from a specialty store.
National Celery Month
To celebrate, make "ants on a log." Cut celery stalk into three-inch pieces. Spread peanut butter in the center. Top with raisins.
National Frozen Food Month
To celebrate, eat a frozen dinner with the entire family. Make it a rule to turn off all electronic devices during this time.
National Noodle Month
To celebrate, donate noodles to a local food bank.
National Peanut Month
To celebrate, plant a peanut garden, go to "How to Plant Peanuts" at the following website: http://www.ehow.com/how_2045280_plant-peanuts.html
National Sauce Month
To celebrate, make or try a sauce that you never experienced.
